Who Should Join?
The Association of Compliance Professionals of Guyana is open to Compliance Professionals in AML/CFT, Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption, Sanctions, and FATCA/CRS.
New and experienced Compliance Professionals are encouraged to join our community. Industries represented include Banking, Money Transfer, Cambio, Non-Bank Financial Institutions, Insurance, Gold/Diamond, DNFPBs, Gambling and other regulated industries.
Membership is suited for MLROs, Compliance Officers, Compliance Analysts and Investigators, Regulators, and Supervisors.

Promote Best Practices
The ACPG will be at the forefront of providing guidance to compliance professionals by leveraging the shared experiences of its membership. This will range from identifying gaps in existing practice, conducting research, and developing standards and good practices for compliance professionals.
Professional Development
Membership in the ACPG offers significant opportunities for professional development. This will include leadership opportunities by becoming members of committees, writing articles, and becoming subject-matter experts. Career planning opportunities will also be available, along with discounts for conferences, and certifications, where available.
Networking Events
By networking, we get in touch with other members of the compliance community to share and exchange ideas. Periodic networking events will be organized by the association, with an aim of bringing together private and public sector actors in the Compliance space.
Committees
Members can be chosen to serve on one of the association’s many committees. These committees include a Membership Committee, Research Committee, and the Events Committee. Members also get voting rights and access to the association’s annual general meeting, where all members get a say about the future of the association.
Training
Compliance training is one of the pillars of any AML/CFT or related program. Localized training sessions by the association will include online training/webinars, in-person training, coaching, and an annual Compliance conference.
Emails/Newsletters
Emails with information relevant to compliance officers will occasionally be sent out to all members, as appropriate. Topics such as new legislation/regulations, upcoming networking events, upcoming webinars, and conferences will be disseminated on a periodic basis. Members can opt-in to all emails or choose to only receive occasional emails at sign-up.
